DELAWARE, Ohio — A routine inspection turned into a rescue mission when a City of Delaware Public Utilities employee spotted an injured great horned owl in a field.
While inspecting sewage lift stations, team member Andy Adkins noticed the bird and acted quickly to help.
He was able to safely capture the owl and transport it to the Ohio Wildlife Center Hospital, where staff are now providing care.
