Pulaski County homicide rate for 2025 lagging behind last year after just one murder reported in August

The number of homicides in Pulaski County reported by the end of August fell about 8% from the total reported by that point last year, a year-over-year drop that was fueled partially by the single homicide reported in the county last month, making August the least-deadly month in about five years, records showed.
