SPRING BAY, Ill. (WMBD) -- Four people were hospitalized after a motorcycle crossed the center line, causing a four-vehicle wreck, according to the Woodford County Sheriff's office.

Deputies with the office were called to the 1900 block of Illinois Route 26, just outside of Spring Bay, at 5:30 p.m. Monday to a report of a motor vehicle wreck, said Chief Deputy Dennis Tipsword.

When they arrived, deputies learned three motorcycles were riding together Southbound on Route 26 when the lead one crossed the median for unknown reasons and struck a Toyota Highlander, he said.

The driver of the motorcycle was thrown from the roadway and received critical injuries, and he was life flighted to a local hospital, Tipsword said.
