For most, Labor Day is spent taking off work and relaxing — but some in the metro saw the day off as an opportunity to organize and let their voices be heard.
Dozens of people came together in Memorial Park at the "Workers Over Billionaires" rally and march.
Despite rainy weather earlier in the day, people showed up to voice their frustrations with the government. Those in attendance hope events like this put pressure on politicians and lead to change.
"These are the most motivated people that you can ask for — the ones that care the most. This is the sort of community that will absolutely be there for you in times of strife," said Nick Berry, a member of Omaha Tenants United.
Familiar groups from previous rallies, like No Kings Day and the "Good Trouble Lives On" protest, also showed
