EAST PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - East Peoria Police are investigating why a car crashed into a detached garage early Sunday, injuring the driver.

First responders were called to the crash about 2:05 a.m. in the 3400 block of Meadow Avenue, near South Hawthorne Avenue.

An East Peoria Fire Department ambulance took the driver to an area hospital, but it’s not known how badly the driver was injured.

The investigation continues, according to a fire department news release.
