President Donald Trump is set to make an unspecified announcement today at 2pm US time from within the Oval Office, as per an alert issued to the White House press pool yesterday. ‌

His appearance later today follows a noticeable absence over the past week and weekend, during which Trump was only snapped twice entering and exiting the presidential motorcade on his way to and back from his Virginia golf club. ‌
