The Vermont Legal Community Fighting Hunger Food and Diaper Drive is set to begin Sept. 5.

The drive, now in its ninth year, will run until Sept. 19, according to the Attorney General's Office.

For the third consecutive year, the office is encouraging people to collect diapers in addition to food to support families in need.

Over the past eight years, the Vermont Foodbank, the Vermont Bar Association, the Attorney General’s Office and various law offices have raised more than $85,000 and collected over 13,000 food and nonperishable items, including diapers, according to a news release. The Vermont Paralegal Organization is co-hosting the drive for the fifth year.
