LAGRANGE – A 29-year-old Rhinebeck woman wanted on a bench warrant was arrested by the State Police over the weekend in LaGrange for possession of fentanyl and heroin.

Ila M. Janus was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance (intent to sell) and other drug charges. Troopers pulled over a vehicle in which Janus was a front-seat passenger in at about 3 a.m. for a traffic infraction in the northbound lanes of the Taconic State Parkway. Upon verifying the identity of Janus, troopers discovered she was wanted on an active Bench warrant.

Janus was taken into custody pursuant to the warrant. A subsequent search resulted in the discovery of approximately 72.3 grams of fentanyl and 10.8 grams of heroin in her possession.
