Owen Shroyer, a popular host on Alex Jones’ InfoWars website, has quit.

The 36-year-old, who hosted the “War Room” show for InfoWars, told his viewers on Monday that he was making a “shocking announcement.”

“I am done at InfoWars,” Shroyer said. “This may come as a shocking announcement for you tonight. It may not.”

Shroyer apologized “that it had to end so abruptly if you want to say that.”

“But about an hour ago, I got off the phone with Alex, and that was it,” he said. “That was it. So, I owe it to you, the audience, to explain what went wrong and why I decided to leave and how that went down. Just to be perfectly clear, this is not how I wanted it to be.

“I tried everything, I tried everything so that it wouldn’t go this way,” he continued.
