TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — Multiple people died in a four-vehicle crash in Tarrant County overnight, officials said.

Officials responded to a crash around 8:24 p.m. near FM 1187 in Tarrant County, the Cresson Volunteer Fire Department said in a social media post.

Four vehicles were involved in the crash, officials said. Multiple fatalities were reported at the scene and after victims were transported to a hospital, the post reads. One person was taken to a hospital by air and the others by ambulance, officials said.

One vehicle caught fire after the crash and first responders and bystanders helped evacuate victims from the car, the post states.

The Benbrook Fire Department, Fort Worth EMS, Careflite and Parker County EMS also responded to the crash, officials said.
