MOLINE, Illinois (KWQC) - Traffic reopens Tuesday along 7th Avenue between 15th and 17th Street, marking the completion of phase one of Moline’s 7th Avenue Reconstruction Project.
Over the past few months, crews have worked to add new pavement, wider sidewalks, upgraded lighting, and fresh landscaping to the area.
The biggest change, however, is the city’s brand new roundabout at 15th Street.
“They need to yield to their left as they proceed around the roundabout. You’re going to yield, you’re going to look to your left. It’s a single lane roundabout, and that’s kind of the easiest roundabout to go around,” said Moline Resident Construction Inspector, Erin Bruner.
Phase two of the project begins on Tuesday, closing 7th Avenue from the east side of 16th Street to the west side of 19th S
