Hundreds of union members and family members took to Airport Way on Monday as part of the annual Fairbanks Labor Parade. Pipefitters, plumbers and heavy equipment operators marched in solidarity with teachers, firefighters and clerks.
Candy was tossed from school buses, big rigs and trucks to parade-goers along the route from Noel Wien Library to Pioneer Park.
The Red Hackle Pipe Band and the Lathrop High School Army JROTC Malamute Battalion led the parade.
