However, most people think they know what a green light means. But according to driving instructor James Simpkins, plenty of drivers actually get this signal completely wrong. If you think it means 'go', you are likely to be making a mistake. ‌

James revealed he's seen "smashing the gas" far too frequently when a light changes to green – but this is a common error. If you are doing this, you probably haven't had time to do all the safety checks needed to set off. ‌
