KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — UPDATE (9/2 11:20 a.m.):
Knoxville police identified the woman who died in a crash on I-40 on Monday night as Laura Vinot.
Officers said she was attempting to change lanes when her vehicle clipped an SUV, causing Vinot's vehicle to skid off the road. It then rolled over multiple times, according to KPD.
Officers also said they do not believe Vinot was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and she was thrown from her vehicle. She died at UT Medical Center.
