Dubai Mr Big Ross McGill's gangland enforcers have taken credit for a violent 'machete' attack in Rutherglen .
At around 12.10am on Tuesday, September 2, a gang of masked assailants attacked a 50-year-old man and a dog inside a flat on Skye Road. It has been reported that the gang had battered "through a door", armed with "machetes".
The victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with a serious hand injury and later transferred to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, the Daily Record reports .
A pet dog was also injured in the attack and was taken to a local vets for treatment.
