A beloved ‘90s-era rock band was forced to cancel a show over the weekend.

Some fans took news of this cancellation well. Others — not so much.

According to the Central Oregon Daily News , Goo Goo Dolls — which many of you readers might know thanks to their iconic hit “Iris” — were all set to perform at the Hayden Homes Amphitheater in Bend, Oregon on Friday.

However, the band released a statement via Instagram not too long before the show that they wouldn’t be taking to the stage that night because of t he wildfires in the Willamette National Forest .
