COLUMBIA, S.C. — Former South Carolina Gamecocks basketball star Sindarius Thornwell is facing charges after what authorities say was a domestic incident.
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said Thornwell was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with domestic violence second degree and unlawful conduct towards a child.
According to investigators, the incident happened back on August 12 at 8:30 p.m. The victim told deputies that Thornwell assaulted her while she was holding their young child following an argument. She said while she was holding their child, Thornwell threw a cup of water at her and struck her in the back of the head.
