During a career that has spanned six decades, Ed Pearce’s gut instincts and knowing his community were pivotal in him becoming one of the area’s most recognizable newsmen.

Pearce’s love for journalism began growing up in Fallon since his parents owned and operated the local AM radio station, KVLV.

Now weeks away from his 80th birthday, the senior news correspondent for KOLO is receiving another honor this week for his years as a broadcast journalist: the Nevada Association of Broadcasters Northern Nevada Lifetime Achievement Award.
