ALLEN PARK -- When Dan Campbell began revamping his coaching staff this offseason, one of the most notable changes, beyond replacing two coordinators, came in the running backs room.

As part of the shuffle, the Lions hired Tashard Choice, who was the running backs coach at Texas at the time, to lead the position group.

At first, there was no word on Scottie Montgomery, who had coached the unit for the past two seasons.

The Lions later announced that Montgomery would shift to wide receivers coach after Antwaan Randle El left to join former Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson’s staff with the Chicago Bears, taking on the same role with the added title of assistant head coach.
