WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) - A 23-year-old Fort Drum man is accused of driving while intoxicated, crashing his car and lying to police after alleged incident on early Saturday morning.
According to the Watertown Police Department, Michael Jones was allegedly operating his Dodge Charger in the parking lot of the Stateway Plaza on Arsenal Street.
Jones was allegedly drunk and started doing donuts at a high rate of speed. This allegedly caused him to strike a concrete billboard and flip his car.
Multiple people were allegedly in the car at the time, but there were no reports of injuries according to authorities.
Watertown PD said that Jones allegedly lied about the incident by saying someone struck his vehicle.
