BALL GROUND, Ga. — A Ball Ground man was convicted on all charges against him in a recent child sexual abuse case, the district attorney in Cherokee County said.

According to DA Susan K. Treadaway, 37-year-old Zachery Maltman was found guilty on Aug. 27 of charges including three counts of child molestation, two counts of aggravated sexual battery and aggravated child molestation.

A girl under the age of 16 had accused Maltman of abusing her for over a year, a release from the DA's Office said. The investigation in the case began in Sept. 2022 when the mother of the child reported the abuse.
