MARIETTA, Ga. — A man was arrested on a felony charge in connection with a fentanyl overdose following an investigation into the incident that happened in 2024.
Marietta Police said officers were called to a location on Powder Springs Street just after 10 p.m. on Sept. 1, 2024, and found an unresponsive 27-year-old man.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as Tyler Hass of Jasper, Georgia.
Following his death, multiple agencies worked with the police department to identify the drug dealer responsible for providing fentanyl to Hass, police said.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Cobb County Medical Examiner's Office, the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Cobb County District Attorney's Office assisted in finding 27-year-old Grant Mull of Marietta, Georg
