The upcoming Sex Pistols concert at the Fillmore Detroit has been put on the shelf, venue officials announced Tuesday.

The Oct. 4 concert has been postponed after guitarist Steve Jones suffered a broken wrist, leading the group's entire run of North and South American performances to be postponed.

The tour "will be rescheduled when (Jones) has fully recovered," the Fillmore announced in a social media post. "All ticket holders will be informed as soon as the new date is confirmed."

The show was announced in March , and was to be the group's first tour since 2003, with the Detroit show the group's first since 1996. Frank Carter was to sit in for original vocalist John Lydon, with the rest of the band comprised of surviving original members Jones, drummer Paul Cook and bassist Glen Matl
