CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Two teenagers were arrested on Tuesday and now face murder charges after Charlotte police said they killed another teen in northeast Charlotte last month.
Charlotte Mecklenburg police said 16-year-old Tyshaun Stokes was killed in a drive-by-shooting on Lambeth Drive near North Tryon Street on August 17.
The Stokes family was excited about the new school year, but now they’re still grieving after Tyshaun Stokes was gunned down less than a month ago.
“A car pulled down the street, made a U-turn, and it was a guy sticking out the back of the window and he asked who are we. When my nephew turned around and said ‘What?’ they just started shooting,” said Tyshaun Stokes’ aunt LaToya Stokes.
