HAMPTON, Va. — Four people were injured in two incidents Hampton police believe to be connected, officers said Tuesday.

Police said on Sunday, August 31, they were called to the 700 block of Ridgeway Avenue in Hampton, not far from La Salle Avenue, for a disorderly conduct incident around 12:30 in the afternoon. On the way there, the call was upgraded to a report of a shooting and a stabbing.

When they arrived, officers met with two women and a 17-year-old girl. The girl and one of the women each had non-life-threatening laceration injuries, police said.

While on scene there, police received a call for a shooting in the 700 block of Norwood Circle, several blocks away. Officers who arrived at that scene found a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and a 16-year-old girl with a
