The first afternoon of Fall has been beautiful across the Mid-Atlantic. Highs on Monday climbed to the mid-70s to the low 80s with lots of sunshine. The sunshine will continue through mid-week before our next cold front approaches, bringing scattered showers and a few storms to end the week.

Cloud cover will continue to roll in on Monday evening and night. So, expect mostly cloudy skies Monday night and early Tuesday morning. Walking out the door on Tuesday, temperatures will be semi-cool, with places inland in the upper 50s and places around the coast in the low-to-mid-60s.

Through the course of the day on Tuesday, the skies will clear out. By the afternoon, temperatures will be noticeably warmer than Monday as highs climb to the mid-80s. The 80s will stick around through Thursday.
