Robin on Living in the U.K.: ‘America Is a Shitshow’

Robin Wright is getting candid about her life living in the U.K.

In a Saturday profile with The Times U.K. , The Girlfriend star reflected on the contrasts between America and England, as she’s been working and living in the latter country for the past few years. Wright considered the lifestyle differences between the two, noting that “a freedom of self here” in England as opposed to the United States, where “everything’s rush, competition and speed.”

“America is a shitshow. … I love being in this country. There’s a freedom of self here. People are so kind,” she said. “They’re living. They’re not in the car in traffic, panicked on a phone call, eating a sandwich. That’s most of America. Everything’s rush, competition and speed.”
