SPOKANE, Wash. — On Saturday, September 6, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Mount Spokane Stake will gather at 3 p.m. for a community river cleanup. The cleanup will honor those who lost their lives during the 9/11 attacks.

If you'd like to get involved in the community river cleanup, volunteers will meet at Boulder Beach, located on East Upriver Drive.

The September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance--sometimes referred to as "Patriots Day" is a federally recognized day. Americans across the country are encouraged to take part, turning the devastating events that took place more than 20 years ago into a day focused on serving their communities and honoring service members who lost their lives.
