Suspect arrested in connection with 2024 double shooting in Northeast DC

WASHINGTON, DC – Nearly ten months after a man and woman were shot on M Street in Northeast, police have arrested a suspect in connection with the November 2024 shooting.

The Metropolitan Police Department announced the arrest of 45-year-old Kevin Stanton of Southeast D.C., who was taken into custody Friday pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant. He is charged with Assault with Intent to Kill (Gun).

The original incident occurred on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at approximately 5:03 p.m. Officers from the Fifth District responded to the unit block of M Street, Northeast, following reports of gunfire.
