CONCORD, N.H. (ABC22/FOX44) – New Hampshire Attorney General John M. Formella announced Tuesday the membership of the newly established Domestic Violence Fatality Review Committee (DVFRC).
The committee was created by legislation (SB 140-FN) and signed into law by Governor Kelly Ayotte on July 15.
Formella ultimately wants the committee to prevent domestic violence. It is made up of a wide range of professionals, such as law enforcement officers, the state medical examiner, victims' advocates, prosecutors, defense attorneys, among others with the goal to better assess risk in cases so fewer people lose their lives going forward.
