WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) - Authorities in Warrick County say they're seeing more drivers not obeying school bus laws.
One popular route is State Road 662, where Indiana State Police are seeing more stop arm violations.
Sgt. Todd Ringle says, it's important to know when you're required by law to stop for a school bus.
Ringle says, "Anytime you're behind a school bus and the stop arm is extended, you have to stop. If you're approaching a school bus, if there's a barrier like a grassy median or a concrete barrier like you find on the expressway, you're not required to stop. But if you're approaching a school bus and there is no barrier, no grassy median, then you are required to stop by law."
State Police also say you could get either an infraction or worse, a misdemeanor, if you viola
