AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - The Maine Department of Education announced Tuesday the four finalists for the 2026 Maine Teacher of the Year.

The four educators chosen from the 2025 Maine County Teachers of the Year are:

Julia Edwards, a Choral Music Teacher from Poland Regional High School in Androscoggin County.

Bridget Wright, who teaches English at Lincoln Academy in Lincoln County.

Dawn Lee, the School Library/Media and Unified Literacy Teacher at Morse High School in Sagadahoc County.

Benjamin Johnson, who teaches Latin at Hampden Academy in Penobscot County.

The winner of the annual Maine Teacher of the Year award will be chosen in October after the final stages of the selection process are completed.
