SAN ANTONIO — A former Gillespie County sheriff’s deputy is behind bars, accused of abusing his position and engaging in sexual activity while on duty.
Edward Lee Holloway III was arrested after an investigation revealed he had multiple sexual encounters with a woman while working as a deputy, according to the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office.
According to his arrest warrant, a woman came forward saying he raped her four times. A claim that the sheriff’s office says isn’t true.
“There was no force. There was no sexual assault. There was nothing in that sense,” Gillespie County Sheriff Chris Ayala said. “This was a consensual relationship.”
