The victim in the shooting Sunday in the 700 block of North Delaware Avenue was identified as a 19-year-old male, according to the Mason City Police Department.

The victim, who is from Mason City, received a single gunshot wound that is not life-threatening, according to a press release the department issued late Tuesday afternoon.

He was taken by private vehicle to the MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center ER.

No one has been arrested yet in connection with the shooting.

Officers were called to the scene shortly before noon Sunday due to a report of a large fight and a shooting. They found several people in the area, according to the MCPD. The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
