Where is Robin Smith? Reliving her disappearance 27 years later

GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - September 2, 2025, marks 27 years since Robin Smith, a Gulfport woman, disappeared.

Back in 1998, Robin clocked out of work just past 11:30 p.m. at Gulfport Memorial Hospital.

“Since 1998, my family hasn’t been living no normal life,” said Gary Smith Jr, Robin’s nephew.

Reports say she made her way to her vehicle, called her mother, then was never seen or heard from again. She was supposed to make a stop by a store on her way to her mother’s home in Pass Christian, where she was living with her two children.

“I knew she would not just run off or go without her kids especially,” said Shelley Smith, Robin’s sister.
