WILLIAMS BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) - The Village of Williams Bay is hosting a town hall public meeting at 6:30 Tuesday night, Sept. 2, at the Williams Bay School campus.

The meeting comes on day six of an order for people in the village not to use the tap water for drinking, cooking, or activities like brushing your teeth.

On Aug. 21, the health department was made aware of a blue baby syndrome case in the village that sparked the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to test the water.

The DNR found high levels of nitrites in the water and deemed it unsafe.

Leslie Bartz lives in Williams Bay and says the last six days have been stressful. She plans on being at the meeting Tuesday night.
