Morley markets destroyed in fire

A fire has gutted Morley markets overnight.

Surrounding roads are closed and residents are being urged to stay inside with their windows and doors closed as emergency crews continue to mop up the damage from the blaze.

Authorities believe it was deliberately lit around 1am this morning in the south-west corner of the 5000 square metre building.

Fire has destroyed the entire structure, with 130 emergency responders, including police, paramedics and firefighters, at the scene during the peak of the inferno.
