WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A Waco woman is accused of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old boy, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Shapasshun Shatrese Brooks was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to the court document.

A detective with the Waco Police Department Crimes Against Children Unit was assigned the case after police received an injury to a child case.

During the investigation, the boy made an outcry that he had been sexually abused by Brooks, the detective wrote in the warrant.

The detective learned that on March 15, 2024, Brooks forced the boy to perform oral sex on her, the arrest warrant states.

Brooks was arrested on Aug. 30 and booked into the McLennan County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
