Tofino has been ranked the third most peaceful town in North America, according to new research by online gaming company Betway.

The west coast destination placed just behind Baie-Saint-Paul, Que., and Jasper, Alta., in a list of 10 towns across Canada and the United States.

Ucluelet, just south of Tofino also made the top six.

The study scored towns on four measures: air quality, population denisty and online search volume for both spas and noise.

Tofino earned a total score of 69.86 out of 100, while Ucluelet came in sixth with 68.01.

Overall, Canadian towns dominated the list, taking five of the top six spots. Baie-Saint-Paul took the number one ranking with a score of 72.78, followed closely by Jasper at 70.41.

Other Canadian locations included Killarney, Ont., in fourth place. U
