LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A much drier airmass has moved south into our area. The dry airmass is a hot weather system, and will bring low/mid 100’s through Friday. Each evening, a shallow layer of humid gulf air will arrive, each afternoon, dry air which will still be present aloft will stir in, lowering humidity. Tropical Storm Lorena on the Pacific side of Mexico will cross the Baja Friday and move into northwestern Mexico Saturday. The lower part of it’s circulation will be shredded apart over the high terrain of northwestern Mexico, but the upper part of the circulation will move east as a wave in the upper level wind flow across Texas, bringing chances of showers late Saturday and Sunday.
