A Massachusetts driver was arrested in New Hampshire on Labor Day for going over 130 mph on I-93, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Haverhill resident Joseph Cummings, 24, is facing a charge of reckless driving in connection with the incident, State Police said in a press release Tuesday.

Shortly before 8:15 a.m. on Sept. 1, a State Police sergeant noticed a red sports car driving on I-93 at 115 mph, State Police said. Later on, he saw the car driving on the same road going 131 mph.

The sergeant notified a nearby State Police lieutenant who pulled the car over and arrested the driver, who was identified as Cummings, State Police said. Cummings was released from custody, but is due in Salem District Court for his arraignment on Oct. 16.
