Vice president JD Vance will be in Minneapolis on Wednesday, where he and Second Lady Usha Vance intend to "pay their respects to the victims" of last week's mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church.

An announcement from the VP's office says Vance will "hold a series of private meetings to convey condolences to the families of those affected by the tragedy."

It's not clear at what time Vance will be in Minneapolis, but preparations are underway for the arrival of the vice president's plane at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Wednesday will mark a week since Robin Westman opened fire outside Annunciation Catholic Church in south Minneapolis, killing two children and injuring 21 people – 18 of them children – as they observed Mass on the third day of school.
