CRESSON, Pa. (WTAJ)--Golfers in Cresson embarked on a unique marathon early Tuesday morning at the Summit Country Club, participating in the eleventh annual 100 Holes for Heroes event to support the Folds of Honor Foundation.
The event gathers local veterans and golfers each year to play 100 holes of golf, aiming to raise funds for scholarships benefiting the children and spouses of fallen military members and first responders nationwide. Organizer Jim Smith was among those who started golfing at 6:30 a.m. and said the support for the event has been great ever since it was started.
