CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Benner Township supervisors are facing criticism from residents following their approval of two controversial measures during a Tuesday night's meeting.

The supervisors approved the termination of the Benner Water Authority and granted a conditional use approval for a campground near the Bellefonte Airport, sparking community backlash. Kathy Evey, a lifelong resident and one of the township's supervisors, commented about the situation.

"Conditional use is supposed to be to protect your lifestyle, how you like it in your community. It's not to increase the traffic. It's not to increase noise and environmental issues and things like that. That's exactly what this would do," Evey said.
