SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) -- Somerset County officials announced its currently reviewing important protected health information data that could have been compromised back in June.

According to officials, the county became aware of "suspicious activity" happening in one employee's email on June 26. That prompted them to launch a full investigation in collaboration with cybersecurity consultants to understand the depth of the issue. Through that investigation, it was determined that county employees' email accounts at Children and Youth Services from June 26 through June 30 were affected.
