"I remember looking at the TV and distinctly remembering like, 'oh, my God, those firemen are like my dad.' Like, I was thinking about my dad (during the 9/11 attacks)," Stephanie Kirkpatrick, a firefighter herself, said. "It's always carried like such a big impact to me."
