Before becoming the WWE Women’s Champion on SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton held the NXT Women’s Championship, a title she won less than two years into her wrestling career. On a recent appearance on the “No-Contest Wrestling” podcast, Stratton opened up about the pressure of that first title win and admitted she initially felt she wasn’t ready for the responsibility.

Stratton captured the vacant NXT Women’s Championship at the NXT Battleground event in a match against Lyra Valkyria. She revealed that she was not given advance notice of the decision. “Nobody really had told me, like, ‘Oh, you’re winning the title.’ I just kind of found out one day when we were calling the match, I think it was day of,” she said.
