BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington South dropped only one game in singles while cruising to a 5-0 victory over Bedford North Lawrence during boys high school tennis action on Tuesday.

The Panthers, ranked No.8 in the latest state poll, survived a challenge at No.2 doubles to complete the sweep and end BNL’s three-match winning streak.

In singles, Alex Busch stopped Jackson Corey 6-0, 6-0 at No.1, William Liao handled Asher Thompson 6-0, 6-0 at No.2, and Matthew Wu topped Wyatt Corbin 6-1, 6-0 at No.3.

South’s Abe Corry and Josh Sang rolled over Orion Hill and Micah Carter 6-1, 6-0 at No.1 doubles. BNL’s Neal Patel and Braxton Fugate pushed the Panthers before Conner Couch and Marko Montano prevailed 6-3, 7-5 at No.2.
