OAKLAND CITY, Ind. (WEHT) - The Might Oaks are just a few weeks aways from game action in the Midwest Sprint Football League. The young Oakland City program has gone through some growing pains in their first two seasons, but players are feeling like this year will be their best yet.

New head coach Scott Hurst has spent more than three decades coaching at almost every level of football in the tri-state, he says some of the struggles for this program stem from coaching turn over - and he hopes to change that.

"I want to build this team with guys from southern Indiana, western Kentucky, southern Illinois there are great players here, I want to take that and take it to the next level," Hurst said.
