CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (WAVE) - A new, three-year contract between Clarksville leaders and the town’s police union was approved Tuesday night.

An unofficial agreement was announced by the Clarksville Fraternal Order of Police (F.O.P.) Lodge #144 on Aug. 19.

“It shows great on our council,” Clarksville Police Department (CPD) Chief Nathan Walls said. “It shows where their priorities are in the town and how important public safety is to them.”

The term for the contract covers Jan. 1, 2025, to Dec. 31, 2027.

Officers will receive a base salary of $66,000 for 2025, $69,000 for 2026, and $73,500 for 2027.
